This project aims to build a basic player capable of handling fMP4 and LOC (Low Overhead Media Container) formats using the Media over QUIC (MoQ) protocol.
It will focus on features like adaptive bitrate (ABR) ladder auto-selection, requiring a rethinking of standard HLS/DASH functionalities to suit the low-latency environment MoQ offers. This open-source player will provide a foundation for further experimentation in the MoQ ecosystem.

This project will develop an open-source tool to convert VAST (XML) files into HLS Interstitials as AssetLists, enabling Server-Guided Ad Insertion (SGAI).
It will integrate with native iOS, hls.js, and ExoPlayer environments, removing the need for costly SSAI solutions. The project supports rapid adoption of SGAI and prepares for future SGAI tracking features being developed by the SVTA Advertising Working Group.

This initiative aims to create a unified JavaScript library that consolidates common functionalities used across different media players. We’re looking to address the issue of redundant code across open-source media players like Dash.js, HLS.js, Shaka Player, and Video.js, where there’s a lot of copy-pasting of code for similar functionalities.
This project is centered around the concept of the Hypothetical Application Model as defined in the CMAF standard. This model provides a generalized way to describe media presentations, including elements like switching sets, selection sets, and tracks, which are common to various streaming formats like HLS and DASH.
